Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation has acquired the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Arizona, continuing its expansion into luxury hospitality investments outside gaming.

The San Manuel Investment Authority, the California tribe’s investment arm, announced the acquisition Oct. 1 through affiliated entities. The announcement did not disclose the purchase price, seller or financing terms.

The deal follows the authority’s May agreement to acquire the 238-room Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, Calif. The Tribe also completed its full acquisition of the 400-room Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point, Calif., in October 2025, after purchasing a 40% stake in 2023.

The tribe’s other hotel holdings include Bear Springs Hotel in Highland, Calif.; the Three Fires hotel in downtown Sacramento; the Four Fires Residence Inn in Washington, D.C.; and The Draftsman, an Autograph Collection hotel in Charlottesville, Va.

The Scottsdale acquisition advances the Tribe’s long-term investment strategy in luxury non-gaming hospitality and community development, according to the announcement.

“We are delighted to welcome the staff and guests of Fairmont Scottsdale Princess into the portfolio of luxury non-gaming properties owned by our Tribe,” Lynn Valbuena, chairwoman of the San Manuel Investment Board and the Nation, said in a statement.

The 65-acre resort features 750 guest rooms and suites, six pools, five food and beverage outlets, eight retail stores and a 44,000-square-foot spa. It is adjacent to TPC Scottsdale, home of the PGA Tour’s WM Phoenix Open.
