The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana will open its second Feather Fuel Travel Plaza Oct. 30 in Iowa, La., expanding its fuel and retail operations.

The 14,000‑square‑foot plaza sits on an 11‑acre property at the intersection of Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 165. In a news release, the tribe said the location is intended to serve nearby communities and travelers in southwest Louisiana.

The plaza will include 24 gas pumps, seven diesel fueling lanes and a truck pad for commercial vehicles. Inside, the store offers prepared food, coffee, fountain drinks and other convenience‑store items. Beer, wine, spirits and tobacco products will also be available. The tribe said it plans to add more fresh food options after opening.

The new plaza is the tribe’s second Feather Fuel location, joining the original at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, La. Designed by QK4 and Worth Group, the new plaza includes bronze accents, Coushatta cultural motifs and the tribal seal.

Chairman David Sickey said the store’s opening supports the Coushatta Tribe’s mission to “foster regional economic growth and community development.”
