Chickasaw Nation-owned Global Gaming Solutions has expanded into Wyoming with the acquisition of Wyoming Horse Racing. The deal adds 13 Horse Palace gaming and off-track betting venues, more than 1,500 historic horse racing machines and live racing operations at Sweetwater Downs in Rock Springs, Wyo.
The company announced the completed acquisition Oct. 20, following Wyoming Gaming Commission approval of live racing and simulcast permit transfers Oct. 16. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The purchase was completed through a subsidiary, according to a news release. The seller was a joint venture between a racing and gaming operator and an affiliate of a real estate investment firm.
Global Gaming Solutions also owns and operates Remington Park in Oklahoma City and Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. It manages nearly 1,400 hotel rooms at WinStar World Casino & Resort.
The company said it now directly employs more than 1,250 people across Oklahoma, Texas, California and Wyoming.
“Behind today’s milestone are hundreds of employees and thousands of patrons in communities throughout the state who are part of the Horse Palace and Sweetwater Downs experience,” Skip Seeley, Global Gaming Solutions president and CEO, said in a statement.
Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory served as financial adviser and Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP served as legal adviser to Global Gaming Solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
