The Seneca Nation’s gaming enterprise, Seneca Resorts & Casinos, has begun construction on an $8.9 million Seneca Sports Lounge at its Niagara location, adding another major project to a growing list of capital investments across its properties.
The venue is being built on the west concourse near the Bear’s Den Showroom, in the former Blues Burger Bar and 8 Clans gift shop space, according to a news release from the casino. Completion is targeted for May 2027. The project will add a sportsbook lounge, walk‑up bar, betting counter and kiosks, a bar with seating for 21 and a 115‑seat restaurant.
Plans also include a 98‑foot-long video wall, additional displays and sports‑themed design elements, including lacrosse motifs recognizing the sport’s Haudenosaunee origins.
The project coincides with the start of a previously announced $47 million renovation of 594 hotel rooms and suites across 22 floors at Seneca Niagara. That project began this month and will proceed in phases through December 2027. The tribally owned company reported more than 181,000 occupied room nights in 2025 and approximately 141,000 through mid‑August this year.
Earlier this year, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino completed a $2.7 million renovation of the Seneca Café and is finishing a $5.8 million upgrade to the Thunder Mountain Buffet, scheduled for completion in November.
Additional projects are planned at Seneca Niagara, Seneca Allegany and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, though the company has not disclosed their scope, costs or schedules.
