Chugach Alaska Corporation has acquired two Fairbanks-based mechanical contracting companies, H.V.A.C., LLC and Alaska Integrated Services, LLC, through its subsidiary Chugach Commercial Holdings.  Terms were not disclosed.

The Alaska Native Corporation's expansion adds sheet metal fabrication and building controls expertise to its commercial portfolio while strengthening its presence in Alaska's interior region.

"These acquisitions represent a significant step forward in our strategy to diversify and strengthen the corporation's business portfolio," Chugach CEO Jonathan Dalrymple said in a statement. "The expertise and strong market position of these companies will enhance our existing capabilities and create new opportunities for growth, which will ultimately drive value for Chugach shareholders."

HVAC specializes in sheet metal contracting, while AIS focuses on building controls and refrigeration services. Both companies have established customer bases across federal, state, military, energy, healthcare, and education sectors in the Fairbanks and Anchorage markets.

The companies' existing leadership will remain in place, with Josh Palmer continuing as HVAC president and Rodger Morrow staying on as AIS president. No other management or staffing changes are planned, according to Chugach.

Gwen Welch, vice president of operations at CCH, highlighted both companies' two decades of experience building customer partnerships and strong teams.

HVAC's services include sheet metal fabrication and installation, design-build project management, air conditioning, and kitchen hood and duct cleaning for residential, commercial, industrial, and government customers.

AIS provides building automation controls, integrated card access systems, lighting controls, and digital camera networks from offices in both Anchorage and Fairbanks. The company serves federal, military, state, and oil and gas clients.

Palmer expressed optimism about joining Chugach, noting the support and opportunities available would help HVAC grow while improving service to existing clients.
