The National Native American Human Resources Association Foundation has launched a scholarship and professional development program to support Native professionals pursuing careers in human resources and leadership.
The NNAHRA scholarship program will provide funding for professional certifications and related travel expenses, with the goal of helping participants advance their careers and bring additional expertise to tribal governments, enterprises and organizations.
NNAHRA is partnering with Da Silva Group Consulting LLC, an executive search and consulting firm that is also providing financial support for the program.
The program is open to individuals who serve tribal governments, enterprises or organizations, as well as those seeking to advance their human resource or leadership skills and serve their tribal communities.
Recipients may apply to one of four certification programs:
- Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP I)
- Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP II)
- Tribal Adjudication Professional (TAP)
- Tribal Management Professional (TMP)
Applications open Oct. 1 and close Oct. 31, with recipients expected to be notified in December. Recipients will have one year to use the funding.
